Their wedding took place in a time we usually imagine with cool breezes and soft spring sunlight. But this day had a surprise. It was hot. It’s like the middle of summer, kind of hot! The kind of heat that makes you question if spring skipped a step.

But if you were there, you would never think it mattered.

Their ceremony at The Maples Woodland felt deeply personal, surrounded by the people who matter most. It was one of those ceremonies where you could feel the connection not just between them, but with everyone present.

The bridal party brought such an incredible energy to the day, not only standing by Anastasia and Roger’s side, but truly showing up with so much love, support, and excitement. From the laughter to the in-between moments, you could feel how much they meant to them. It was the same with their families, who were just as present and full of joy, making every photo feel genuine and full of connection. An Intimate Reception at The Maples


As the day moved into the evening, the atmosphere shifted into something more relaxed and intimate. Guests spent the night simply enjoying the evening, gathering in conversation, sharing laughs, and taking in each moment together. While the pace felt calm, the celebration came alive through meaningful moments like the newlyweds’ first dance, heartfelt dances with their parents, the money dance, and the bouquet toss, each bringing bursts of energy, joy, and connection throughout the night.

The first weekend of January was the perfect way to start the year, celebrating Cindy and Wing at EAGLE RIDGE BY WEDGEWOOD WEDDINGS IN GILROY CA. From the moment Cindy first reached out, I already knew their wedding would be full of joy and genuine moments.

She told me she loved my style, but also mentioned that they were an awkward couple. Honestly, that is exactly our specialty. Couples who feel a little unsure in front of the camera often end up with the most natural, beautiful photos, and Cindy and Wing were no exception.

One of my favorite parts of the day was their first look at the bridge area at Eagle Ridge by Wedgewood Weddings. The setting was just perfect. It felt quiet, intimate, and gave them a chance to really take in the moment together before everything officially started.

Eagle Ridge by Wedgewood Weddings in Gilroy is such a beautiful wedding venue. The views, the layout, and the overall atmosphere made everything feel both elegant and comfortable at the same time. Even though it was the middle of winter, the weather turned out amazing. It was not too cold at all, which made it even better for everyone to just be outside, relax, and enjoy every moment.

Kayla & Kolten’s Wedding at Moss Denver | A Beautiful Colorado Celebration

Although we are photographers based in California, we absolutely love traveling and experiencing weddings in different places. One of the best parts of what we do is getting to document love stories in new cities and states.

If our couples want us to capture their wedding, even if it means traveling far from home, we are always happy to do it as long as our schedule allows. Being part of such meaningful celebrations is always worth the journey.

Kayla and Kolten’s early spring wedding brought us to beautiful Denver, where they celebrated their day at the unique Moss Denver.

A Unique Indoor Wedding Venue

Located in Denver’s vibrant arts district, Moss Denver is known for its beautiful industrial architecture with exposed rafters, large windows, and stylish interiors that create a warm and modern atmosphere.

Kayla and Kolten’s early spring wedding day was a mix of cold winds and bright sunshine outside, but inside the venue, it felt cozy and inviting. The sunlight filtered beautifully through the large windows, filling the space with a soft natural glow throughout the day.

Even though the celebration took place entirely indoors, Moss Denver created such a stunning environment that the wedding still felt vibrant, intimate, and full of character.

A Joyful Celebration with Family and Friends

Right after the ceremony, the room quickly filled with emotion as family and friends gathered around Kayla and Kolten. You could see the happiness on everyone’s faces as they hugged the newlyweds, some even wiping away joyful tears.

It was one of those beautiful moments where the excitement and love in the room were impossible to miss. Everyone was celebrating, embracing the couple, and sharing in the happiness of the moment.

The wedding details also added so much personality to the celebration. Guests were given adorable teddy bears as keepsakes, a sweet and playful touch that made the day even more memorable.

Before the sun went down, we stepped outside Moss Denver for a few quiet moments with Kayla and Kolten. Even though most of the wedding day took place indoors, we were still able to capture some beautiful bride and groom portraits just before sunset.

Right outside the building was a stunning mural that added so much character and color to their photos. The vibrant artwork, combined with the soft light, created such a unique and beautiful backdrop for their portraits.

It was the perfect opportunity for the newlyweds to step away from the celebration for a few minutes and simply enjoy the moment together before returning to the party.

Vibrant Flowers and a Fun Reception

The reception space was filled with vibrant flowers that brought beautiful color throughout the venue. The floral arrangements added a lively and romantic feel that complemented the industrial character of Moss Denver perfectly.

When it came to food, Kayla and Kolten chose something fun and relaxed for their guests — pizza. It created such a laid-back and joyful atmosphere where everyone could simply enjoy great food, celebrate together, and spend the evening laughing and dancing.

Sometimes the best weddings are the ones that feel the most comfortable and personal, and Kayla and Kolten’s celebration was exactly that.

Traveling for Weddings

Weddings like Kayla and Kolten’s remind us why we love traveling for our work. Every location has its own charm, and every couple brings their own unique story and style to their wedding day.

Some proposals feel straight out of a fairytale, and Austin and Sarah’s special moment at Castello di Amorosa in Napa Valley was exactly that.

Austin and Sarah traveled all the way from Texas to visit Napa Valley, but Sarah had no idea that the trip would turn into one of the most unforgettable days of their lives.

Austin had been carefully planning the surprise proposal, even coordinating for some of their family members to be present for the big moment.

A Castle Proposal at Castello di Amorosa

The proposal took place on the rooftop terrace of Castello di Amorosa, one of the most breathtaking spots in Napa Valley. Surrounded by the stone walls of the castle and overlooking the vineyards in the distance, the setting felt both intimate and magical.

The venue’s coordinator helped prepare a beautiful setup for the moment. Fresh flowers were thoughtfully arranged along the ground, with a bouquet and a bottle of wine waiting nearby to celebrate the occasion.

As Sarah arrived at the rooftop terrace, their loved ones were nearby, quietly waiting to witness the special moment. With the castle walls around them and the Napa Valley vineyards stretching behind them, Austin got down on one knee and asked the most important question of his life.

Of course, Sarah said yes.

Celebrating with Family

One of the most meaningful parts of this proposal was that Austin had arranged for their family members to be there to witness the moment. After the surprise, the celebration quickly turned into hugs, laughter, and happy tears.

Moments like this remind us why proposals are so special to photograph. They are filled with raw emotion, excitement, and the beginning of a brand new chapter.

A Dream San Francisco Proposal From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Palace of Fine Arts

There is something undeniably cinematic about San Francisco, and Jake and Jenna’s proposal story felt like it was meant to happen here.

Jake first reached out to me about planning a surprise proposal for Jenna. He mentioned that they live in Phoenix and wanted to make their trip to San Francisco truly unforgettable.

About two weeks after receiving his inquiry, something funny happened. I happened to be in Phoenix photographing a wedding, and I remembered Jake’s message. I decided to reach out and asked if he would like to meet in person so we could talk through his proposal plans.

We ended up meeting at a local coffee shop in Phoenix with my husband and photography partner. Sitting together and talking through ideas made everything start to fall into place. From that moment, we knew exactly how the proposal would unfold once they arrived in San Francisco.

The Proposal at Crissy Field

The big day finally arrived in San Francisco. Since Jake and Jenna are from Arizona, they expected the city to be cold and foggy, so they came prepared for chilly weather.

But San Francisco had other plans.

Instead of fog and wind, the city surprised us with beautiful sunshine and clear skies. It turned out to be a perfect day for a proposal.

Jake brought Jenna to a scenic spot at Crissy Field, with incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. As they walked along the waterfront and took in the view, Jake got down on one knee and asked the big question.

Of course, Jenna said yes.

It was such a joyful and emotional moment, and the setting made it feel even more magical.

Engagement Portraits at the Palace of Fine Arts

After the proposal at Crissy Field, we headed over to the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts for more fun portraits celebrating their engagement.

The Palace of Fine Arts is one of the most iconic and busiest locations in San Francisco, and it is always filled with visitors, photographers, and people enjoying the view. But that is where experience makes all the difference.

Alex and Jenny

Alex and Jenny’s beautiful summer wedding took place at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga, one of the most breathtaking garden wedding venues in Northern California.
