When Jade first reached out to us from Michigan about photographing her wedding to Drew, she already knew exactly what she wanted. A natural, honest, documentary style in one of the most breathtaking wedding locations in the country, Pretty Place Chapel in South Carolina!

And honestly, the name does not even come close!

Pretty Place, also known as Symmes Chapel, sits high in the Blue Ridge Mountains and feels less like a venue and more like standing on the edge of the world. As you walk up to the open-air chapel, the first thing that hits you is the view. Rolling layers of mountains fade into soft blue tones and stretch endlessly into the horizon. There are no walls, no distractions, just sky, light, and a quiet stillness that makes every moment feel sacred.

There are some wedding days that feel like they’re pulled straight out of a dream. Anastasia and Roger’s celebration at The Maples Woodland was exactly that. The bridal party brought such an incredible energy to the day, not only standing by Anastasia and Roger’s side, but truly showing up with so much love, support, and excitement. From the laughter to the in-between moments, you could feel how much they meant to them. It was the same with their families, who were just as present and full of joy, making every photo feel genuine and full of connection. These were the people who helped shape their story, and it made those moments even more meaningful to capture.
